A Vespa Trip through Tuscany's most iconic cities and beautiful landscapes.

From 3 PM onwards, you are welcome to check in and settle into the hotel’s refined comfort. Your Vespa will be ready for you the following morning. Later that day, you have to go to the Vespa shop to arrange the paperwork for your Vespa rental. Afterwards your guide will personally welcome you and provide a detailed introduction to the journey ahead.

New to riding a Vespa?
If you’re a first time Vespa Tripper or have no experience driving a Vespa, we strongly recommend our Start to Vespa lesson, a relaxed, confidence building introduction to help you feel fully at ease before setting off.

On day 2 The Vespa Trip really gets started, and you’ll exchange the buzzing Pisa for the rural and authentic winding roads that adorn the Tuscan landscape. The first stop of The Vespa Trip will take place near Pontedera, the birthplace of the Vespa. Piaggio, the factory that produces Vespas, has its homebase here and there’s also a Vespa museum you can visit for free (optional).

From Pontedera you’ll head towards the Tuscan city with one of the most beautiful skylines in the world: San Gimignano. In this city you can make a quick stop to take a picture of the beautiful views. You can also have a delicious lunch here before you set off to your final destination of the day: the lovely Siena.

The third day of The Vespa Trip is our all time favourite. You’ll leave Siena’s city walls behind and drive straight through the famous Chianti region, passing by several picturesque villages. The endless vineyards and hilly landscapes will keep surprising you. On this route, you might also see some castles, before reaching a first stop in the official capital of Chianti: Radda in Chianti. After a break here, you can continue your road trip towards another gem of this region: Greve in Chianti. This village has an impressive square in its center and lots of cute and authentic stores such as the Macelleria Falorni, one of the oldest butcher’s in the world.

Just before driving into Florence, you can stop on the Piazza Michelangelo to take in the amazing views over Florence. After this quick stop, you’ll continue your trip to arrive in Florence by the evening – one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Spend your time wisely and make the most of one evening in this world-class city.

You’ll leave Florence along the winding roads that lead through the Florentine hills, offering stunning views of Tuscany. Some picturesque lanes are too narrow for cars.  You’ll continue on to the birthplace of Leonardo da Vinci. From Vinci, you can drive straight to Lucca, the favourite city among  many Italian connoisseurs.

During the fifth and final day on the Vespa you have two choices. You can either spend a day at the beach and only drive a few kilometres, or you can make a beautiful trip through Bagni di Lucca and visit a historic village that is completely isolated from the outside world: Montefegatesi.

During the trip to Montefegatesi you will follow the river Lima where you can take a quick dip on a secret location. The location is not marked on the map and you can only find it via the GPS coordinates that we provide. The day ends in beautiful Pisa where you can spend your last evening.

Enjoy one final breakfast at the hotel before deciding how to continue your journey, whether you’re heading home or exploring more of Italy, the choice is yours.
