Nane: "I gained confidence and autonomy so quickly here!"
Are you a natural host who loves creating smooth experiences for travellers? Do you thrive on taking charge on busy days and keeping things running like clockwork? Looking for a flexible part-time job in the travel industry in Lisbon? Then we’ve got the perfect gig for you!
Travelbase is the fast growing travel company behind more than 50 adventure travel brands like Enter The Wave, Lapland Travel, Iceland Nomads and The Balkan Trail.
With a young and dynamic team, we work from our offices in The Hague, Ghent and Genval to organize unique adventures for over 50,000 travellers every year.
Travelbase isn’t just growing in trips and participant numbers. We’re also expanding in other ways, including the acquisition of 3 campsites in Europe and creating an office including brand new minivans in Lisbon for Portugal Nomads.
Portugal Nomads is part of Travelbase. We take Dutch/Belgian travellers on 7 day roadtrips along the Algarve and the west coast of Portugal. Every Saturday, new customers pick up one of our 8 minivans and head off to explore the real Portugal, hopping from one unique campsite to another. Your job? Making sure they start their adventure with a perfectly prepped van and a warm welcome.
This isn’t your typical 9 to 5. This part-time position offers you 2 days of work per week, with Saturdays as your main day.
Every Saturday (9:00 – 17:30) you lead a small team to get all vans ready for the new guests. You’re in charge, you keep overview, and you make sure everything runs smoothly. At 15:15, the new travellers arrive by shared transfer. This is your moment: you welcome everyone with genuine enthusiasm, walk them through their van, answer questions, and send them off with a smile. This isn’t a boring admin check in. It’s a personal welcome that gets people excited about their trip.
Throughout the week you’re the point of contact for guests on the road. Most things are already arranged, so it doesn’t take much time. But you’re available via WhatsApp for questions, tips, or if something comes up. You’re also responsible for the emergency phone, so guests can reach you if they really need help. You also spend a few hours on light admin and communication tasks. You spread these hours flexibly throughout the week around your own schedule.
Send us your CV and a short message about why you’d be great for this role. We’d love to hear from you! Can’t tick all the boxes? No worries, nobody’s perfect. Show us what you’ve got and we’ll see if it’s a match.
