After a detailed briefing on how to use the minivan and everything involved, you can start your road trip. You're ready to explore the first town: Ericeira.

The campsite is about a half-hour drive between Ericeira and Sintra.

Start the morning with a scenic walk from Matadouro to Praia de Ribeira d'Ilhas along the cliffs, take a surf lesson, or explore the town of Ericeira.

On your way to the next stop, you'll pass through some charming villages, like Sintra. We recommend avoiding the toll roads so you can drive through the beautiful landscapes of Portugal.

Your next stop is Arrifana, where you'll stay at a campsite surrounded by nature. Explore the area or head to the beach to enjoy the sunset. The perfect way to end your day!

The next morning, you can take a surf lesson, a true must-do during your trip through Portugal! Arrifana is a paradise for (beginner) surfers, making it the perfect spot to catch your first waves.

Not a fan of surfing? No problem! Close to Arrifana lies one of the most beautiful sections of the Fisherman’s Trail, a trail along the coastline of Portugal. The hike from Pontal da Carrapateira to Praia de Amado and back offers breathtaking views, so it's highly recommended!

After an active day, you'll drive for about an hour from Arrifana to the charming coastal village of Salema, where you'll stay at an idyllic eco camp. Here, you can join yoga classes or take advantage of the free shuttle to the beach.

Start your day with a real bucket-list activity: a boat trip from Lagos. This small-scale boat tour consists of two parts. First, you'll head out to the open sea in search of dolphins in their natural habitat. Then, you'll get to see the magical cliffs and caves of Lagos from the water, which is a truly special experience!

After the boat tour, we recommend exploring Lagos. It's a charming little town filled with cozy restaurants and bars!

Afterward, you can drive to Silves to spend the night close to the start of the hike scheduled for the next day. Or you can choose to stay near Lagos to have a bit more time to explore this lovely town.

Today, one of the most beautiful hikes in perhaps all of Europe is on the agenda: the Seven Hanging Valleys Trail. A 10-kilometer walk along the coastline featuring the most impressive cliffs.

Prefer to stay in Lagos? Then a short hike at Ponte Da Piedade is definitely recommended.

After an active morning, you'll drive on to Fornalhas Novas, a region known for its vast vineyards. Here, you'll spend the night among the grapes at a vineyard and can join a wine tasting at the winery where you're staying!

After a night under the bright starry sky in the middle of the vineyard, you continue your road trip to Sesimbra, a picturesque spot located by the Arrábida Natural Park.

Here, you'll stay at a nature campsite. You can explore the beautiful natural park, visit one of the many beaches, or discover the charming village.

Tip: visit the highest peak of the Arrábida Natural Park, Serra do Risco, and enjoy a breathtaking view.

Start the day with a kayak tour along caves, high cliffs, and beautiful beaches—a unique way to explore Sesimbra!

After the tour, it’s time to return to the starting point of your journey, Ericeira. This time, you’ll be staying just outside Mafra, a 20-minute drive away, at a farm in the countryside.

Head back to Ericeira, explore the village of Mafra, or simply enjoy the sunset at the estate where you’re staying.

Day 8 marks the end of the adventure in the Algarve, time to head back home. You'll return the minivan near Ericeira, and our partners will take you to Lisbon Airport (LIS) with a transfer.

Start your morning with the first surf lesson of the week; experienced instructors are ready to teach you the ropes at Praia Matadouro. Want to surf but not take a lesson? Within an 8 km radius, you'll find 15 different surf spots, so there are plenty of waves to choose from!

After the surf lesson, it’s time to head to the next stop. Along the way, you'll pass through some charming villages, like Sintra or Milfontes. We recommend avoiding the toll roads so you can drive through the beautiful landscapes of Portugal.

Your next stop is Arrifana, where you'll stay at a campsite surrounded by nature. You can also head straight to the beach to surf into the sunset, a perfect way to wrap up your day!

Day 8 marks the end of the adventure in the Algarve, it's time to head back home. You’ll drop off the minivan near Ericeira, and our partners will transfer you back to Lisbon Airport (LIS).
