Do you want to experience the feeling of freedom? Then opt for a 4×4 with a rooftop tent. The vehicle comes equipped with basic camping gear and a rooftop tent for overnight stays.
The overnight spots are basic but have the necessary facilities.
Note: when you choose a rooftop tent, you won't be able to use the pop-up roof of the car for animal spotting during safaris!

Traveling through Uganda with a private driver is a comfortable and hassle-free way to explore the country. In a sturdy 4x4, you'll be driven through rugged landscapes, colorful villages, and impressive national parks, without having to worry about route planning or road conditions. Your driver knows the area inside and out and will safely take you from one destination to another, often with fun facts, spontaneous stops, and tips that add a little extra to your journey.

You’ll traverse Uganda in a 4×4 built for adventure. Don’t expect a brand-new vehicle, but rather an automatic Land Cruiser (V8 or Prado) that has seen its fair share of miles and African roads. These basic, no-nonsense cars are made to handle any terrain. A scratch here and there is part of the experience, adding to the charm and the true African road trip vibe.

Your African adventure starts from: € 1,290 per person for the Essentials (excluding flights) or € 1,550 per person for the Full Experience (excluding flights). This price is based on 2 people per vehicle.

Damage Waiver
Accidents can happen unexpectedly, which is why we recommend adding a damage insurance to your registration. This insurance costs €10 per day per vehicle. By selecting this insurance, you won't have to pay a deposit.
If you choose not to take damage insurance, you will need to pay a deposit of €750 before departure.

Your journey starts and ends at the airport in Entebbe. There are several options to get there. You can choose to book your flights through us or book your own flights.
Just a heads up: for some departure dates, there are no flights available through us. In that case, you'll need to book your tickets separately.
You can book your flights with Uganda Nomads starting from 550 euros from Brussels (Zaventem).
Note: When you book your flights with us, you will fly with Brussels Airlines and have a layover of about 1 hour in Kigali, Rwanda, on the way there. But you'll stay on the plane during this stop.
Flight Times – Return BRU
These times are subject to change. If there is a schedule change, you will receive an email from us. Make sure to enter your name as it appears on your passport when booking to avoid issues at the airport.
If you plan to book your own flights, keep in mind that most flights arrive in Entebbe late at night.
You will need to make your own way to your first accommodation, which is a short distance from the airport.
On the second day of your road trip (Sunday), you can pick up the car starting from 10 AM. On the last day (Saturday), you must return the car by 7 PM.
Your first overnight stay is in Entebbe, just a short distance from the airport.
There are 2 different ways to get to your hotel:
Uganda Nomads shuttle
If you booked your flights through us, your shuttle to the hotel is included.
Taxi
If you booked your own flights, you can take a taxi to your first hotel.
On the second day of your road trip (Sunday), you will receive the keys to your car.
On the last day (Saturday), you need to return the car in Entebbe, after which you'll be taken to the airport with our shuttle.
